SAAB is a Swedish group dealing in aerospace and defence machineries for global defence and securities, formerly called SAAB and SAAB AB later, which stepped into automobile manufacturing also. SAAB was initiated in 1937 in Sweden. Positions of President and Chairman of same are hold by Hakan Buskhe

Saab serves the worldwide marketplace of corporations, authorities and governments with solutions, products and services covering from defence, civil to military security which includes many countries like Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Malaysia, Czech Republic, North America, Finland, Singapore, India, South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, and United Kingdom. SAAB is constantly involved in developing solutions for the Indian Armed Forces in a number of different scenarios. SAAB portfolio covers AIR, CIVIL, LAND, and NAVAL domains which supplies defence systems to Indian Forces and other countries forces and apart deals in Commercial Aeronautics also. Subsidiaries of SAAB are SAAB Aircraft Leasing and Sensis Corporation and 13968 employees are working under name of SAAB as per 2012.
SAAB Aeronautics offers airborne systems, related subsystems, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and aero structures, SAAB Dynamics offers ground combat weapons, unmanned underwater vehicles, torpedoes, missile systems, remotely operated vehicles, signature management systems and sensor systems. SAAB Electronic Defence Systems offers ground based and naval radars, self-protection systems, sensors and jammers. SAAB has stepped in Automobile manufacturing also, but presently inactive in same field, first produced car was Saab 92 which was launched in 1949.
